Learn more →Hyde Park is one of Tampa's oldest and most distinctive neighborhoods, developed from the late 1880s through the 1920s along Bayshore Boulevard and the streets running west from it. The homes here are primarily Victorian, craftsman, and colonial revival: tall ceilings, wide porches, original millwork, and a level of architectural detail that was standard in quality construction of that era. Hyde Park Village anchors the commercial area, and the residential streets around Swann and Morrison avenues have some of the most intact historic housing stock in Tampa.
Renovating in Hyde Park means understanding what is already there. Original trim profiles need to be matched, not just approximated. Built-ins need to be proportioned to rooms with nine and ten foot ceilings. Fireplace surrounds need to feel like period work. We have done this kind of carpentry in Hyde Park homes and we know what it calls for. The photos on our work page include projects from right in the neighborhood.
We serve homeowners throughout Hyde Park, Bayshore Beautiful, and the surrounding South Tampa streets.
